WHILE Mildura kinder teacher Alexandra Morello is no stranger to being surrounded by children, she is celebrating her first Mother’s Day as a mum tomorrow.
Ms Morello gave birth to twin boys Ted and Toby just seven weeks ago, and said the experience has been “life changing”.
“There is a long history of twins on my dad’s side of the family — they are everywhere,” Ms Morello said.
“Even considering that twins were so common in my family, I never really believed I was pregnant with twins until they were actually here.
“Being a mum has changed my life in so many ways, all for the better. I have found a love that I never knew existed.
“I love being a mum, it’s the greatest job I will ever have.”
Ms Morello said she will be spending tomorrow relaxing with her twins, fiance and extended family.
“I hope all the beautiful mums out there have a lovely day — Mother’s Day can be a really difficult time for those who have lost their mum.
“Whether you are a mum to children, your fur babies, a step mum or waiting to become a mum, I hope everyone has a special day full of love and happiness.”
