THE Merbein Channel Duck Race took place on January 17, 2015.

It was conducted by the Merbein District Historical Society in partnership with Lower Murray Water to mark the conclusion of 106 years of Channel Supplied Irrigation Water at Merbein.

Not long afterward the channel was safely covered and now there is a walkthrough with established trees and seating. Just lovely.
