Letter to the Editor THE plan by the Victorian Government to build 8000 new homes in Mildura by 2051 sounds amazing and is admirable in some respects.

It would be more admirable if it was 8000 extra homes by 2051, given that the current build rate of 250-plus houses a year would see around 6500 houses built in that time, so we may get an extra 1500 in that time.
