Around town this week?

The warm weather is here to stay in sunny Sunraysia, so what better way to keep cool than to head to the riverfront splash park? With plenty of trees and shady spots to beat the heat, the Water Play Park down Hugh King Drive is free for everyone to enjoy. Dodge the jets and fountains in the water, try and spot a duck or two in the lake, then finish up with a nice cool drink from Bobby + Me!

Christmas is sneaking up on us, so be sure to head to Henshilwood Oval this Sunday December 1st for Carols In The Park. Put on by the Irymple Lions Club, this fantastic family friendly event will have singing, dancing, a barbecue, and the big man himself, Santa! The fun kicks off from 5:30pm, so bring your own chairs and picnic blankets, and brush up on your favourite Christmas tunes.

Finish up the week by heading out to the Red Cliffs Market for a day of family fun. With plenty of new activities for the kids each month, and a lovely shady playground to retreat to if the days continue to heat up, there’s a heap of joy to be had out in Red Cliffs. Don’t forget to take part in the Christmas colouring competition! Bring your pencils and collect your picture of Santa riding Big Lizzie from either FoodWorks or the Newsagency and return to the December market info tables or participating stores for your chance to win!
