Kids’ Corner October 21, 2024

Around town this week?

The days are getting longer, and the weather is warming up, so this week is the perfect opportunity to get out and about in our lovely sunny corner and see what Sunraysia has to offer!

For all of you basketball fans, Back Court Mildura has a bunch of junior skills programs on offer. If you’re looking to improve your game, refine your shooting, or learn some new skills, this is the place for you. Bookings are essential for this 8 week program, so make sure to purchase your tickets or find more information on the Back Court Mildura Facebook page.

Our libraries also have plenty of fun happening this week! The Red Cliffs Library is hosting a FREE after school LEGO program this term, where you can try your hand at one of their LEGO challenges, or let your imagination run wild with your own creation. Taking place every Tuesday from 3:45pm, you budding LEGO masters will have a blast! The Mildura Library also has a Baby Play session at 9:30 on Tuesday, and The Merbein Library will host a free Story Time on Tuesday from 10am, so there’s plenty of fun for everyone!

To end the week, head out to Red Cliffs to celebrate the Red Cliffs Fire Brigade Centenary! The family friendly events kick off from 10am, with plenty to see. Kids can tour the fire station, check out some real fire trucks, take part in some firefighting, and meet Captain Koala! The day is sure to be a blast with some showbags up for grabs as well.
