There are many fun and exciting things going on at Merbein P10 College.

Right now, our school is getting a new building constructed. It will be the main building for the school and will have our cafeteria and main office in it. We can’t wait for our new architecturally designed building to be complete! Added to that, our brand new tennis court was just finished!

At the start of the year, the Grade 6 students were partnered with Prep buddies to do activities with. We have loads of fun together and sometimes even have a picnic.

This term, some Year 9-10 girls helped us prepare for our athletics day as part of their Active Girls elective. Every Tuesday afternoon we’d practise different events. We are very grateful for the time they spent on these activities with us.

On the 21st of August, our primary students arrived at our Athletics Day. Students were determined to help their house win. Students got a rousing speech from their team captains, before competing in seven events: vortex, shot-put, discus, long-jump, high-jump, long-distance and sprints. Students had fun earning points for their house team.

The Year 5/6 students run an activity called Play Program which allows students from Prep to Year 3 to have more options to do at lunch times. The older students take time out of their lunch time twice a week to play fun activities with the younger students.

Next term, we have our primary school camps and sleepover to look forward to!
