Kids’ Corner August 12, 2024

We are Charley (year 5) and Miles (year 2) from Pooncarie Public School.

We are very excited because we just got a new school bus. It is called Delly.

This means we can travel for excursions and events because our school is a long way from everywhere.

We have some exciting things coming up for our school in Term 3.

First, we will be going in our bus to Palinyewah school to have school photos taken. We will spend the day with those kids practicing for our school athletics, which are on the next day.

The athletics carnival is at Pomona school, so we will go in our bus again.

Another exciting thing is Book Week fun day.. We will dress up as a book character. Also on that day we have a circus day where we will learn circus tricks.  There will be a book fair on that day too , so we can maybe buy some books.

Later on in Term 3, we are going to the Immersion Centre in Gol Gol  and to a Sunraysia Warriors day in Mildura. We are looking forward to travelling everywhere in our new bus.

At school, we have a school garden. We grow vegetables and edible flowers. We also grow other flowers to attract pollinators to the garden. We love working together in our garden.
