MILDURA SOUTH PRIMARY  SCHOOL

Nataša Siladi and Poppy Hoye reporting from Mildura South Primary School, informing you on what’s happening in our school.

Our Foundation students have had a stupendous start to the year, and they will soon be celebrating their 100th day of school. On this day, grandparents will be invited. In Grade 1, they have been learning about geography by identifying human supported places and comparing them to natural places. They’re also diving into learning about Mildura’s history!

Speaking of, just a couple of weeks ago, the Grade 2’s got to dress up and play games to celebrate their learning of Mildura’s history! In Digital Technologies, the Grade 2’s will be putting the information they have learnt on a Slide Show.

Up in the 3/4 unit, students have been practising long jump and using the data they collected, to compare their distances to World Champions. They will soon be heading to the Sunray Warriors to learn about the environment and how to look after it.

It’s been an extremely busy year in our 5/6 unit, with all the Interschool sports including netball and footy. They also had their camp at Lake Lascelles and Bike Ed.

Our principal Mrs Milani retired in term 2 and we welcomed our new principal Mr Trembath to our wonderful school. Book week is nearing, and everyone is picking a character to be in our parade. We also have Athletics day coming up… Maybe Darling (green) will win a fourth time!
