IN what is shaping up to be the worst 12 months for drowning deaths in Australia, Sunraysia residents are urged to stay vigilant.

According to Vic Emergency, since last July, there have been a record 42 drowning deaths in the state, including a spate across the past fortnight where seven people lost their lives.
