Full season of racing ready to jump

MILDURA Racing Club has announced a full racing season for 2024/2025.

Barring any unexpected disruptions, the club will be seek to deliver its first full ticket in five seasons.

Trainers, jockeys, and patrons were only able to enjoy five of the scheduled eight race meetings in Mildura during the most recent racing season.

Club manager Jamie Lanyon said staff and volunteers are excited to now offer eight race meetings to the public, beginning from this Saturday.

“There’s a lot of excitement that we’re finally getting a full season ahead of us after the floods and pandemics and whatnot,” he said.

“It’s also a relief as well, we can finally plan a full year ahead, which is good.”

The season, stretching from August 10 to July 19, will feature six regular race meetings, alongside the Melbourne Cup Day and Mildura Cup Day.

“The track will be fine, the more racing the better,” Mr Lanyon said.

There are two memberships on offer for the season ahead, a single membership and a double membership, priced at $30 and $50.

Melbourne Cup Day packages, including marquee and reserved table arrangements, are also available for purchasing as of this week.

Members will be able to get a discount on race day packages for both Melbourne Cup Day and Mildura Cup Day.

“We’re just looking forward to having a great season,” Mr Lanyon said.
