MILDURA Base Hospital (MBH) chief executive officer Julia Morgan admits the imminent transition of the hospital to public management has led to her decision to resign.

Ms Morgan informed staff of her decision with a memorandum on Wednesday and on Thursday told Sunraysia Daily she was stepping away from the role with "mixed emotions".
