A DOCTOR who was unable to perform a basic medical procedure because he was drunk has been cleared to resume his medical career in Mildura.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal was told the doctor was the on-call doctor for Nhill's urgent care service when he was called to perform a "relatively minor" suturing procedure in July 2016.
