NINE new automated external defibrillators have been donated by the Ouyen Patchewollock Ambulance Auxiliary to local community groups.

AEDs can be used if someone is having a cardiac arrest with the devices used try and shock the heart back into rhythm.

The devices come with instructions to allow most people to use them.
