WENTWORTH'S new hospital will be designed so that all inpatient rooms have views of the Darling River, it's been revealed, as work starts on the New South Wales site.

The contractor managing the project was also announced at a symbolic sod-turning ceremony next to the existing hospital on Tuesday.
