WENTWORTH'S Murray House has been awarded almost a quarter of a million dollars to improve the centre's amenities.

The local funding of $240,000 will be used to improve the centre's common-room area in the main wing, allowing easier access to the outdoors, a new quiet area and an extra hand basin.
