WHEN Dr Tom Gleeson packed up his family and moved from western Queensland to Mildura earlier this year, the plan was to spend 12 months and maybe head back home.

Ten months on, and despite months in COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria, he has no intention of returning to St George, where he worked at the local hospital for 11 years.
