Young golfers to tee off

MURRAY Darling Golf Association Junior Pennant will reach its conclusion on Sunday at Riverside Golf Club.

Seven teams of young golfers took part in the first series in over a decade, with a tremendous response being made to the competition encouraging youngsters to take to the courses of Sunraysia.

Junior golf has been played in great spirits with encouragement from all clubs involved.

Following five rounds over the past six weeks, Red Cliffs finished on top of the ladder and will face Coomealla Navy on Sunday for the pennant title.

Also on Sunday, Merbein will tackle Riverside Green in a third-place play-off.

Tee off begins at 9am Sunday.
