Will Anderson cleaned up with 44 points from runner-up Andrew Murdoch with 41 points.
It was a countback for third with Brett Beswick (with a superior back nine) out-pointing John Gray, both with 40 points.

Mark Pullman won B Grade with 41 points from runner-up Les Williams on a countback with Wayne Dahmes, both on 40 points.
C Grade was won by John Chadwick with 40 points from runner-up Will Anderson on a countback with Stephen Lush, both with 39 points.

ON Monday, November 4, a medley Stableford was played and Lukas Pedder won with 39 points from runner-up David Gardiner on a countback with Todd George, both on 37 points.

Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup day Stableford, was played as an Orange Tee event, with Luke Bergens smashing out 43 points from runner-up Russell Lamattina on 42 points.
Balls: 36 points.
Josh Fleming would have been holding his breath on the 18th when his ball came close to a hole-in-one, stopping only 2cm away.
The members and visitors event on Wednesday was won by Billy Stephens with 40 points over Malcolm Kalms on 39 points.
Balls: 34 points on a countback.

The ladies had their annual Oaks Day event which was a Canadian foursomes.
The pair of Kathy Ridley and Leonie Nott had an outstanding 69.75 net to be the winners.

Friday’s nine-hole Stableford needed a countback to determine Kane Brown as the winner over Jamie Donaldson, both on 20 points.

It was a 4BBB Stableford for the men on Saturday, which called for a countback to decide Greg Love and Darren Knight as winners in front of Keenan and Michael Wade, both finishing on 48 points.

THE Red Cliffs Golf Club hosted an exciting week of golf competitions with exceptional performances from both men and women across various events.
Last Wednesday’s men’s Stableford competition (sponsor D. Murnane) was Graham Lohmeyer with a score of 39 points from runner-up Lloyd Hale on 39 points.
Third was Christopher Chase with 38 points on a countback with Neville Birch.

HOWARD Hankinson had a day out last Thursday playing his first round of the club championships shooting 89 off the stick for a net 68 and 39 Stableford points, followed in second place by Jed Chapman with 88 off the stick for net 71 and 38 Stableford points, while third place went to Bob Balcomb with 73 net.

Vicki Appleton with a net 97 took out the Mrs Risky pink ball.
On Sunday Vicki Appleton was tickled pink, because it wasn’t her taking home the Pink Ball for a change, it was captain Bill Slee.
Paul Schmidt with 96 off the bat for a net 72 played to his handicap with 36 points to take the win from runner-up Max Hodges with116 for a 75 net and 33 Stableford points, while Bob Balcomb claimed third with 107-76 and 33 Stableford points.
NTP: 8th – Bill Slee 790cm on the 8th.
Tuesday’s Chicken Run tee-off is from 5-5.30pm and Thursday is stroke and Sunday Stableford with tee-off from 9.45am.

MORE than 100 golfers took to the “Royal” on Melbourne Cup Day to play an Ambrose in fours.
A great day was had by all with some very impressive scores being carded.
Winners on the day were Al Gourlay, Peter Gourlay, Hayden Gourlay and Simon Dowling with 66/54.75 from runners-up Lane Appleby, Daniel Ohara, Anthony Harmes and Jordan Appleby on 65/56.875.
Wednesday’s Stableford winner was Jim Piper- with 34 points from runner-up Mark Holding 29 points.

Friday’s nine-hole twilight event was won by John Dimasi with 20 points.

THE Country Hearing Care 4BBB Stableford event was held on Monday at the Riverside Golf Club with 64 players competing.
The day commenced with the running of the annual general meeting with members re-electing the current leadership group, (congratulations everyone), passing the syllabus and observed a minutes silence in respect of those who served in the armed services.
Welcome to David Gardner who joins the leadership team as our new vice-captain.
The winners on 50 points were Suellan Nunan and Kathy Cameron with the local team of Rod Arnold and Wayne Innes runners-up on 43 points, edging out Graeme Irvin and Michael Englefield on a countback.
