ON Tuesday, October 1, the ladies nine-hole Stableford was won by Mavis Lynch with 22 points from Jane Stanbrook with 20 points.

The 18-hole Stableford event was won by Dawn Jackson with 42 points from runner-up Jenny McCoy with 40 points.

Saturday was a medley stroke event for the TWW/ Ransoms Monthly Medal played in three grades.
It was three-way countback on net 70 in A Grade to decide Dennis Williams as the winner from runner-up Kym Mack and third placed Neville Hodgetts.
B Grade as taken out by Ben Callaghan on net 69 defeating Sam Smythe and Ben Nitshke, both on net 70.
C Grade was won by Garry Smart with net 70 from Rod Truman on a countback with Wayne Mayne, both on net 73.

THURSDAY’S stroke competition was won by Howard Hankinson on a countback from Glen Walker, both with net 79, from third-placed Peter Trevathan on net 82, while Melbourne visitor Dave Gardiner took the Mr Risky award with net 93.

Sunday’s Stableford winner was Howard Hankinson after a three-way countback with runner-up Paul Schmidt and third placed Michael Cook, all on 34 points.
Vicki Appleton won the Mr Risky pink ball.

VETERANS
ONE of the largest fields for many years contested the district veteran golfers Vines Retirement Village single Stableford event at the Red Cliffs Golf Club on Monday.
Boosted with 13 visitors and two new members, a full field of 74 players competed.
With great weather and a well presented course, some very good scores were recorded.
In A Grade, Barry Pilgrim was the winner with 38 points and runner-up on a countback was Greg Doolan edging out Ken Upton, both with 37 points.
Brian Young saluted in B Grade on a countback from Meg Whitby, both having scored 42 points.
In third place was Greg Lee with 41 points.

THE winner of the Veteran and Friends Stableford on Monday, September 30, was Samuel Longeri with a score of 42 points from runner-up Oliver Cooper on a countback with Gavin Minter, both on 40 points.

Marie Hudak won the nine-hole Stableford event on Tuesday, October 1, with 18 points from runner-up Roylene Bailey on 17 points.

The men’s Stableford on Wednesday was played in three grades with the winners of each grade finishing with 40 points.
Lachlan Smith collected the win in A Grade from runner-up Lachlan Faulkhead on 39 points.
Samuel Longeri kept his winning run going to take out B Grade from runner-up Greg King on 39 points.
Oliver Cooper won C Grade in front of runner-up KevinChallis on 36 points.
Balls: 40-34 points on a countback.
Rodney Jarrett eagled the par five 11th hole.

Friday’s nine-hole medley Stableford was won by Zack Winslow with 24 points from runner-up Reece Plummer on a countback with Martin Dane, both on 21 points.
It was a Stableford event for the ladies on Saturday with Lyn Thompson’s 36 points enough to give her the win over runner-up Janette Mason with 35 points.

It was three grades for the men in Saturday’s Stableford competition and Joshua Furey was the winner of A Grade on 39 points with Josh Bailey getting the better of Glenn Walker in a countback for second place on 37 points.
Ken Upton had a great day winning B Grade on 41 points with runner-up Davidson Mbindi not far behind with 40 points.
Luke Jeffers had the winning score in C Grade with 39 points over Neville Cooke on 38 points.
There were two eagles on Saturday – Ashley Johnstone on the par four 17th and Craig Jervies on the par five 14th.
