MURRAY Darling Golf Association has inaugurated a volunteer appreciation award to acknowledge the hundreds of unpaid hours community members contribute to their local golf clubs.
Most recipients of the inaugural awards won’t expect or likely want the acknowledgment as they volunteer willingly and happily.
However, each recipient will receive a framed certificate and a voucher to Drummond Golf as a token of their contribution to golf over many years.
Official presentations will be made on Sunday following play in the MDGA District Championships at Coomealla.

Merbein: Michael Thompson and Graeme Kerr
Robinvale: Peter Cramp and David Smith
Red Cliffs: Rita Chase and Keith Roberts
Coomealla: Ross Robertson and Gwenda Albion
Riverside: Selma Mayne and Rob Garioch.
