VETERANS

IN a little over a week the district veteran golfers will travel to Coomealla to compete in the Coomealla Club’s annual single Stableford event.

On Monday, August 5 the field will assemble for the 9.30am shotgun start.

The course is considered as the most challenging 18 holes in the district so most members enjoy playing this event and a strong field is expected.

Recent rain will benefit a course that is always presented in top condition.

Registration begins at 8.30am in the clubhouse where members will sign in by paying their $25 entry fee. As always cash is necessary and the correct amount is appreciated as change can be difficult to find.

Don’t forget to sign in to ensure that you receive your lunch.

Members who have recently joined can collect their badge and be in contention for the badge raffle. New members are asked to let those on the registration table know that they are playing for the first time.

Carts that have been ordered will be available for collection from the club pro.

A good method of tracking your handicap is to use the calculator available on the Golf Australia website. On the Sunday before an event feed in your GA score and type in the name of the course and it will show your daily handicap. This is a useful method to get your handicap for each of the districts courses.
