VETERANS

AT last week’s event the Sunraysia and District Victorian Veteran Golfers Association welcomed five new members – Kaylene Geddes, Duane Ebbels, Janice Walker, Daryll Walker and Joan Ryan.

They are amongst a growing number of players who have joined the association this year. Veteran golfers, both male and female, who are 50 years of age are welcome to join.

The process is simple – attend one of the listed events and introduce yourself to the team at the registration desk. An initial fee of $15 covers a one-off joining fee and the cost of a badge which can be collected at the next event.

These events are held monthly across most district courses and as a general rule, are held on the first Monday of each month. The competitions all begin with a shotgun start, so players can commence registration from 8.30am in readiness for a 9.30am tee-off.

Our next event is on Monday, August 5, at the Coomealla Golf Club.
