VETERANS

ON Monday the vets will travel down the Calder Highway to the Ouyen Golf Club for a 4BBB medley Stableford competition.

Registration will commence at 9.30am for a shotgun start at 10am.

Contact the club if you require a cart and green fees are $20.

The day gives members the opportunity to experience a true country course complete with sand scrapes instead of greens.

Local club members are available to accompany visitors who are unfamiliar with sand scrapes to help them with the raking technique when putting.

At the conclusion of the day’s play the trophies (made from mallee roots) will be presented which reflect the history of the town.

Organise yourself a partner and cart for this great day in Ouyen and expect a hardy, country style lunch after play.
