VETERANS

IT is less than a week before the district veteran golfers cross the bridge and head down the Sturt Highway. Their destination is the Robinvale Golf Club.

Carpooling is a great way to travel as it provides a cost-effective means of travel and participants have company and conversation there and back so chat to your partners, remembering it’s a 4BBB game, and get yourself organised.

On Monday, they will be participating in the Drummond Golf 4BBB Stableford event.

The Robinvale club has stepped up showing their support for the district veterans association by providing an alternative venue while the usual course is recovering from floods.

Players are reminded to leave plenty of time for travelling as the usual shotgun starting time of 9.30am is still the tee-off time. Registration begins around 8.30am. Please remember to wear your badges and check your GA scores.

If you don’t want to tow your own cart it is strongly recommended that you pre-order one if you want to hire a club cart as they are in demand.

The alternative is to be a walker but whatever your preference you will be catered for.

We have additional funding thanks to the Euston Club’s generous support. Cath Remer is to be thanked for her work in preparing a submission for the grant.

The club always provides a friendly welcome, a great meal and a well-prepared course.

Organise yourselves now to make sure you are ready to be part of this wonderful event.
