Golf club newsReflecting on a huge weekend of golf for the Mildura Open there are many thank yous to acknowledge. Firstly our sponsors Jayco Caravans, Beta Electrical, Drummond Golf, Gateway Tavern, Pizza Café, Mallee Meats, Duxton Vineyards, Craig Malic, Mildura Plumbing Plus, Fairway Bistro, Milestone Chemicals, Oasis Unmatched, Thomsons Linen, Sunraysia Daily, Tasco, Frasers Plumbing, Nutrien Water.

Nick Cavallo and his staff on the greens in the golf shop and the bar all did a great job accommodating all the golfers and visitors over the weekend.

Thanks also to all the players who entered and made it through two to three days of golf and supported our club. We received many positive comments on the condition of the course and in particular the greens running fast and true.

The golf committee and volunteers all pitched in to do various tasks to ensure the event ran as smoothly as possible.

Finally, one last thank you and while it takes many people to put an event together, one person really took the ownership of this event. Putting in many hours in daylight and in the dark working tirelessly was club captain Gary Fumberger (who turned 60 during the week, happy birthday Gary!!). A big thank you to you, Gary, on a job very well done.
