VETERANS
THE picturesque Riverside Golf Club will host the next scheduled round of the district veterans golf event on Monday, October 3. Starting with the usual 8.30 registration process the single Stableford event will begin with a shotgun start at 9.30am.
Players are reminded to contact the club as soon as possible if you wish to hire a golf cart. It is also a good idea to check your GA score by going online and entering your details for the white markers. There will be a chart available on the day to confirm handicaps. Please remember to wear your badge as this assists with registration and players who have there’s will be included in the raffle draw. New members will have their badges available as soon as possible.
The course has benefitted from the rain and it is in great condition. As previously mentioned there will be four temporary greens in play while the new greens are growing. With the improving weather the club has also taken the opportunity to core the greens. This was completed last week and the greens are recovering and will be back to their best soon.
Expect a warm welcome from the staff at the club. A big field is expected due to the regular intake of new members.
