VETERANS

IT’S a little under a week until the district veteran golfers meet for their next event. It is a 4BBB stableford game hosted by the Coomealla Golf Club on Monday, August 1.

A regular occurrence each month is that we welcome new members. If you want to join us then just turn up at the host clubhouse at 8.30am and register for the game. It is necessary for you to have a golf handicap and $30 – $10 is for your one-off membership fee and the other $20 covers the green fees and a lunch. The rest we can provide.

Hopefully you will already have a partner but if not we will find you one. We will ensure you get to the correct tee to commence your round and if necessary arrange a cart to get you there.

The rest is easy. You enjoy a challenging round of golf and if you play your best you may win a prize. There’s A and B grade prizes for the first three place getters and an opportunity to win Nearest the Pins on all par threes. When the game finishes enjoy the camaraderie of fellow players at the 19th hole.

We play 10 times a year, so we look forward to you attending as often and as regularly as you can. So if your 50 years of age, consider joining. Players of all genders with any level of ability are most welcome. We look forward to meeting you.
