VETERANS

IT is less than a week before the Sunraysia and District Victorian Veteran Golfers Association hold their first event for this year on Monday, March 7.

As usual that event will be held at the Mildura Golf Resort. It is a 4BBB Stableford game incorporating NTPs on all the par threes. It commences at 9:30 with a shotgun start.

As always registration begins around 8:30am with the collection of $20 to cover green fees, competition entry and lunch. Your lunch choice will be noted so that it is ready when you finish your round.

What will be new however is that most current players will collect a name badge. The expectation is that players wear these before and after the game. It is an option to wear them while playing. As stated previously the purpose of these new badges is to help identify fellow players, streamline registration and provide individuals with a memento.

New members will receive a badge after paying the one off joining fee.

Players are reminded that to secure a hire cart it is advisable to book prior to the day by contacting the pro shop. Remember members benefit by paying a reduced cost for a cart.

New members male and female are most welcome. As we have great sponsors and prizes, a challenging picturesque course to play on and an opportunity to socialise with players from all district clubs, there is an expectation that we will have a big field. Make sure you’re part of it.
