VETERANS
THE annual general meeting was conducted at the last event. There were some expected changes to our leadership group.
Our president Ron Leamon didn’t seek re-election because of personal reasons. I want to thank Ron for his work and support during his period as president and to pass on our best wishes to him and his family.
Our new president is John Denman. Congratulations John for your willingness to join the leadership team and we look forward to you bringing your skills, ideas and experience to the role.
Our captain John Green(Greenie) has served the association well for many years but understands the benefit of leadership changes.
As a result to help transition a new captain the association adopted a new position of vice captain. Ned Klemm was elected in this role and with John’s help will ‘learn the ropes’ over the next year.
Ned does have extensive experience in golf club leadership and should find the transition a relatively easy process.
Our treasurer Tony Dal Corobbo was re-elected treasurer and Brian Young retained his role as secretary.
The club delegates were re-elected. Thank you to George Poriazis (Coomealla), Cliff Ferguson (Mildura), Roy Latta, Keith Rogers (Red Cliffs), Keith Willis (Riverside) and Steve Clarke (Robinvale) for their continued support.
The schedule for 2022 was adopted with single stableford events as the preferred game. John will finalise and distribute that before our December event.
The final 2021 game is our Christmas event to be held at Riverside on December 6.
