VETERANS

In less than a week the district veteran golfers will be travelling to the Red Cliffs Golf Club to contest our next event.

That will be on Monday, July 5. It is a 4BBB stableford so players will need to organise teams for the event. As of writing this report there was no Covid 19 restrictions in place but experience has demonstrated that a week is a long time in preventative decision making. As of now this will be a normal event and not a social outing. Normality returns with our usual procedure. Be there around 8.30am to have time for registration, be ready for any instructions from the Captain around nine and prepare to depart to your allocated starting tee. Our shotgun start will be around 9.30am.

The cost this month reverts to the $20 that will cover your competition fee, lunch and green fees. The Nearest the Pins will be played and a presentation of prizes will follow the lunch.

Last month players dropped away due to the imposed restriction but it will be good to see our usual number return this week. Experience proves that this club always makes an effort to make us welcome and we need to show our appreciation by supporting them. As always there are a limited number of carts for hirer so please contact the club prior to the day if you require one.

So get along to Red Cliffs on Monday. I hope to see you there.
