Veterans

I AM still being asked questions about the next district veteran’s game. The syllabus has been altered with the July listing swapped with the August event. We are not playing at Coomealla this month. It’s most important for new members and visitors to know about the change. To be clear, our next meeting will be at the Red Cliffs Golf Club on Monday, July 5.

I was reminded how fortunate we are to enjoy such mild winter days in Sunraysia. We regularly get to get out into the fresh air and enjoy the companionship of others. We might be expecting rainfall this week but that will only enhance the condition of the local courses. So it’s a fair expectation that the Red Cliffs course will be in top condition once again. Members always experience a friendly welcome and a delicious homemade lunch.

Last month numbers were a little disappointing because of the statewide lockdown but hopefully more will participate this time.

It will be not be a social round this month. Without the COVID-19 restrictions the 4BBB Stableford will be the usual competition round with NTP included. So it’s time to organise yourselves into teams and get along to Red Cliffs.

Be there at the usual registration time of 8:30am in preparation for a 9am captain’s address and a 9:30am shotgun start.

Take advantage of our wonderful climate. Come along and join in.
