VETERANS

NEXT Monday will see the return of members of the Sunraysia and District Veteran Golfers Association to the Wentworth Golf Club. It will be the first time in seven years since the association has played a round at this district course.

It is a special event, one that has been added to our annual syllabus to re-establish a connection between the association and the club. The event is a single Stableford game organised by the club and sponsored by the association.

There is an expectation that the day will draw a big field. The club has worked hard to bring the course up to a very good standard and we appreciate the effort made to organise the day. This includes providing a meal, cart hire and the serving of drinks at the 19th hole.

All members are invited and encouraged to support this special day. From all reports there has been a positive response from district vets.

The usual process will be in place with a $20 fee covering registration and lunch.

The shotgun start commences around 9.30am after our captain John runs through local rules and organises the groups. Cart users and walkers will be catered for and competition will include Nearest the Pin on all par threes.

Good weather, good course and great colleagues add up to a terrific opportunity to enjoy this special day.
