VETERANS
It is now less than two weeks before the much anticipated return of the district veteran golfers to the Wentworth Golf Club.
Returning after an absence of seven years the club will host a single stableford game on Monday March 29.
It will be a special round fitting in between two monthly games and therefore not listed on the schedule that was distributed to members earlier this year.
As such we are asking all district vet members to spread the word.
This will be organised as a normal round with the same process as the other games.
Registration starts around 8:30am and the regular twenty dollars covers an entry fee, green fee and lunch.
We will begin with a shotgun start around 9:30am which will be an interesting exercise given that many of us will be unfamiliar with the course layout.
Still that is one of the attractions of the day as it will be an opportunity and a challenge to play on another district course.
Walkers and carters will be accommodated and members can hire a cart by contacting Bill on 0402 570 500.
The club has eight carts available so I suggest you book one to avoid missing out.
As with other clubs the carts are available for the special price of twenty dollars.
Following the days play we enjoy a lunch and drinks can be purchased from the club.
Prizes will be organised by the association with A and B-grade competitions and Nearest the Pins on all par threes. See you there.
