VETERANS
After an absence of seven years, Sunraysia Veteran Golfers will return to the Wentworth Golf Club for a game. It was planned for last year but COVID-19 caused its postponement. It was scheduled to be held later this year but with Easter falling in the first week of April it had to be reorganised for Monday, April 29.
Apologies for the short notice as that is less than three weeks away. It will be a single stableford event. Thank you to Bill and fellow members for organising this day.
It will be conducted exactly the same as any other district vets event. Registration will begin from 8.30am and play commences with a shotgun start at 9.30am. A cost of $20 covers a lunch, competition and green fees. There will be a Nearest the Pin competition on each of the par threes. Prizes will be provided by the association. Players can walk or use carts and the club has eight clubs for hire. The cost to hire a cart is the same as other clubs at just $20 each. After the game the club will host lunch and have drinks for sale.
Please let everyone of the veteran golfers at your club know about the day because of the short notice it not listed on the schedule. It will be an opportunity to enjoy playing another course and supporting a district club.
