A 67 off the stick on Sunday helped Greg Rhodes to an emphatic nine shot win in the weekend’s Merbein Golf Open.
Having already claimed the Coomealla Open earlier this year, and the Mildura Golf Club Championship earlier on Saturday after a playoff with Cameron Stewart, Rhodes carded 71 off the stick on Saturday to take the joint overnight lead with home club hopeful Michael Thomson.
Daryl Morgan and George Glasheen carded 75s to be in the hunt.
But Rhodes’ Sunday left his competition in his wake, despite finishing in difficult dusty and windy conditions he carded an overall 138 scratch for the weekend.
Morgan came in with 72 off the stick on Sunday to finish with 147.
Thomson’s 77 off the stick had him third with 148 scratch.
He did claim the handicap section with 140 across the weekend.
Lee Bottomley carded 79 and 80 to finish the ladies champion for 2020.
