VETERANS
THE November meeting of the district veteran golfers is traditionally the date for our Annual General Meeting.
Next Monday’s event at the Riverside Golf Club was originally listed as a 4BBB Par but with the restrictions imposed by the Covid outbreak it has been rescheduled to become our championship round.
Players will play a stroke round to determine the overall champion, the A and B grade scratch winners and the A and B grade handicap winners.
There is the Nearest the Pin competition on all par threes.
Players need to have played one previous round to qualify.
An alternative prize will be awarded to any winning non qualifying member allowing everyone to participate.
Following our regular process registration begins from 8.30am and the round will begin around 9.30am.
Cost will be $20 covering green fees, competition fees and a lunch.
Carts are available for just $10 per player and can be booked by contacting the club directly.
Players are reminded that they will need to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Members are asked to share this information at their local clubs to ensure a good field contests this event.
The course is in excellent condition especially after the recent rain.
Following the game the AGM will be held.
Players are asked to have a say in next year’s draw, elect our leadership and discuss issues that will help us continue to provide a great opportunity for district vets to participate in a district competition.
