SFNL premiership coach Mark Alvey said he felt refreshed and re-energised as he returns to the coaching hot seat after a five-year break.

He joins fellow ex-AFL footballer Sam Kerridge as co-coach of Mildura, a side aiming to build on consecutive finals appearances, including a semi-final berth this year.
