JOSH Carmichael's AFL "dream" is over after the former Merbein footballer succumbed to ongoing concussion issues.

Carmichael has not returned to Collingwood training since the 24-year-old suffered a head knock during the club’s round six VFL match against the Southport Sharks in May and has been managed in l
