ORGANISERS of a mental health awareness walk are hopeful the event will finally be held this month, after Mildura's inaugural walk was called off just hours before it was to be held last year.

More than 800 Sunraysia residents registered to march as one in the Walking Off the War Within event last March, which aims to shed light on the dark subject of PTSD, depression and anxiety.
