Use the ‘tough lessons’ in drought, growers told

SUNRAYSIA irrigators have been urged to use "some pretty tough lessons" learned from the Millennium Drought to manage through the current dry.

The annual Growers' Conference in Mildura, attended by about 200 irrigators and industry representatives, was yesterday told the region was returning to "that really hard adjustment process" after recovering from the drought of 1997 to 2009.
