MURRAY crayfish populations have increased despite flooding and blackwater events in recent years, according to surveys conducted in the Murray-Darling Basin.

The studies were funded with a $27,500 Native Fish Recovery grant from the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, along with further money and in-kind support from the Nature Glenelg Trust to assist works to sample crayfish populations.
