LOCAL environmentalists have successfully removed more than 140 kilograms of carp from Sandilong Creek with the aim of restoring the waterway's ecology.

A flood in 2022 caused the creek to connect with the Murray River, leading to an influx of the invasive fish that disrupted the creek's ecosystem.
