A BUS tour from Loxton to Merbein next week will explore Australia's first whole orchard recycling trial.

Instead of the traditional method of burning trees that have been removed at the end of their lifespan, the trial practice is designed to recycle old trees by chipping them and incorporating them into the soil before planting new ones.
