'Green tape' claim rejected

THE Federal Government has responded to a claim by a senior NSW Farmers figure that it plans to "slather rolls of green tape across food production" to meet climate goals, saying there would be no agriculture-specific emissions reductions targets.

The industry group's conservation and resource management committee chair, Bronwyn Petrie, said last week the government was planning several sustainability proposals this election year.
