Emissions policy 'threatens food supply'

A SENIOR figure in NSW Farmers has fired a shot across the bow of the Federal Government this election year, saying increased emissions reductions policies in agriculture "won't move the global climate equation by any significant measure".

The industry group's conservation and resource management chair Bronwyn Petrie also said proposals threatened the nation's food security – even though Australia exports 70 per cent of its food.
