NORTH-west Victoria's only native fish hatchery is on target to breed half a million fish this year after becoming the state’s first hatchery to be accredited in New South Wales.

In just four years Mildura's North West Aquaculture has gone from producing 4000 Murray cod to almost 500,000, as well as golden and silver perch.
