Refugee program bearing fruit

A UNIQUE farming program aimed at supporting new refugees in Sunraysia has proven fruitful, as students boasted their first harvest last week.

The Food Next Door Co-op program teaches new farmers, who are often refugees from East African backgrounds, how to farm on a small scale using regenerative practices in Sunraysia's harsh semi-arid climate.
