APOCALYPTIC scenes of orange Mildura skies are still fresh in the minds of residents whose homes were blanketed by multiple severe dust storms last year.

During one of the worst droughts on record, topsoil from Millewa farms was continually swept across Mildura, particularly during the windy spring and early summer months.
