Pistachio output set to triple for Aussie growers

CONSUMERS have gone nuts for the humble pistachio.

It is anticipated Australia's harvest volume could exceed 10,000 tonnes -- more than triple the current average -- by 2030.

That is according to Pistachio Growers Association (PGA) executive officer Trevor Ranford, who said until recently growers had struggled to meet the rising demand for the healthy green nut.
