Mildura gets a taste of The Eagles Experience

PROFESSIONAL musicians “from all parts of the globe” are bringing all of the greatest hits from The Eagles to Mildura.

The long-established show Hotel California The Eagles Experience, which was on hiatus for the past few years, has been recently recast, redesigned and reinvigorated to return to stages again.

Filling the shoes of Glenn Frey is Sydney-born musician Jimmy Anderson, who admits he can’t wait to get to Mildura.

“We are really keen to get to Mildura – I am personally very excited as a New South Wales boy – I heard about it a lot but had never been there myself so I am looking forward to seeing it,” he said.

“It’s a wonderful show with a great cast of musicians.”

The “impressive” new international cast, which includes multi-talented young musicians from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, was carefully selected by producer Johnny Van Grinsven who aimed to “Do proper justice to that incredible musicianship and the perfect harmonies that made The Eagles so iconic”.

The concert will focus on the music of The Eagles’ 1976 album Hotel California, plus their other biggest hits from the ’70s and ’80s, fans will be treated to live performances of DesperadoTake It EasyTequila SunriseOne of These NightsLife in the Fast LaneHeartache TonightNew Kid in TownWitchy WomanLyin’ EyesTake It to the Limit and more.

“You can expect all the big hits, we also bring with it a light show and LED screen that shows a whole bunch of visuals in the back which gives an enhancement and a little bit more gloss and shine,” Anderson said.

“Our show brings the vibrancy back into the live music scene and we are really looking forward to putting it on display finally after so long.

“If the past two years have said anything, live entertainment is just so important for escapism from the stresses of everyday life and the past two years has been pretty stressful for everybody.”

Hotel California The Eagles Experience goes on stage at Mildura Arts Centre on Saturday at 8pm.
